Ocean Protocol is a decentralized data exchange protocol that was one of the three co-founding members of the Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) Alliance when it formed in June 2024 alongside SingularityNET and Fetch.ai.

Withdrawal

In October 2025, Ocean Protocol withdrew from the ASI Alliance to pursue independent funding, tokenomics, and supply-reducing mechanisms for the OCEAN token. The Alliance continues with SingularityNET, Fetch.ai, and CUDOS.

Historical Role

Ocean Protocol's data marketplace and data tokenization framework were envisioned as the data access layer for the ASI Alliance — enabling decentralized, privacy-preserving data sharing for AI training and inference. During its Alliance membership, Ocean Protocol participated in the unified ASI token migration and governance structure. No direct Hyperon/MeTTa integration was documented during the partnership period.
